Group Therapy in Richardson, TX
As one of Richardson’s only multi-disciplinary general psychiatry practices, we know that having an array of services is important to our patients. While some patients benefit most from one-on-one counseling, others will benefit more from group therapy in North Dallas.
For that reason, we offer outpatient group therapy counseling sessions for patients of all ages in a wide range of areas, including mood disorders, PTSD, depression, self-esteem, social skills, addiction, recovery, and more. Please contact our office to learn which sessions are available at the current time.
In the absence of a group session being available, our mission at Texas Psychiatry Associates is to also provide individualized, comprehensive psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults during all phases of their mental health journey, and this includes personalized one-on-one counseling sessions.
Benefits of Group Therapy
We know that not everyone is ready for group therapy as part of their psychotherapy, but when it’s determined that this therapeutic model is appropriate, patients will benefit from a broadened support system, a broadened perspective on their condition, reduced cost in counseling, and a chance to build connections of support and understanding in the group process.
There are some things that you’ll want to take into consideration when deciding on group therapy near you, such as the size of the group, the age and gender of the group’s participants, and your ability to openly share and still receive the therapeutic benefit in a group setting.
What to Expect
